Why take this course
During this workshop we will revisit the anatomy and physiology of the endocrine, reproductive, and nervous systems, to help us inform and support women through these changes in their body.
We will also look at the use of traditional Chinese acupressure points, to balance hormones and energy levels, as well as considering lifestyle, relaxation, and dietary adaptations.
Course Content:
- Cultural differences on transitions in life, Eastern philosophy verse Western philosophy, and how this can affect the way we consider the menopause.
- Understanding the menopause and the physical, mental, and emotional symptoms and conditions it can affect.
- An overview of the anatomy and physiology of the endocrine, nervous, and reproductive systems, looking at how oestrogen, progesterone, and testosterone as well as cortisol levels are changing.
- Stress and how it affects our hormone balance.
- Use of certain acupressure points and their benefits on the body’s balance.
- Essential oil blends, the power of their chemistry and aroma on the nervous system.
- Reflexology support.
- How using our holistic knowledge can support women through this cycle of their life.
Who Can Take This Course:
This course is open to qualified Reflexologists and Obus trained Aromatherapists.
