There are 3 important steps in the annual RENEWAL of Membership online, no printing, no emails.

1) Fill out the Online Application Form, please use this opportunity to update your contact and work details, if necessary.

2) Submit a copy of your current valid PROFESSIONAL INSURANCE certificate. You will not be listed on our website without it.

3) Pay the current MEMBERSHIP FEE (using your card/PayPal).

Optionally, you can also submit copies of Certificates of completed post-graduate/holistic courses, if any (for your CPD Programme).

Option 2. OLD-STYLE

(Not that quick and not that simple…)

Alternatively, you can post or email (scan or photo) the required documents with a few payment options.
To renew your membership please:

1) Pay a Fee of €140 (FULL MEMBERSHIP) or €50 (ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP) using one of the options:

NRRI MEMBERSHIP

There is no prima facie entitlement to membership of the National Register of Reflexologists and the granting of any grade of membership is at the sole discretion of the Registrar who reserve the right to decline applications for registration without explanation.

Guidelines regarding eligibility for NRRI registration to be read and implemented in conjunction with the standard application form.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

Associate Membership: this option is suitable for a person who simply wishes to practise on family and friends in non-professional capacity, or for a member who simply wants to ‘keep in touch’ with the complementary sector.

CPD credits are not required and insurance is discretionary.

Applications for membership will be considered from suitably qualified reflexologists who possess a Practitioner’s Diploma or Certificate of Reflexology from a School of Reflexology accredited by the NRRI, or s School of Reflexology accredited by certain other professional bodies or examination boards (subject to individual assessment).

MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA

 Criteria regarding eligibility for NRRI Membership

(This document annuls all previous documents relating to criteria for NRRI membership)

The National Register of Reflexologists (Ireland) Ltd. is an autonomous institution and applications for membership can be declined or accepted without explanation at the discretion of the Registrar and Advisory Council.

General guidelines for eligibility:

1. Graduates awarded diplomas by NRRI Accredited School are fully eligible.

2. Applicants awarded diplomas by NRRI Accredited Schools prior to September 2010 are eligible.

3. Graduates with ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology (QQI Level 5 / FETAC Level 6), VTCT, CIBTAC and FHT are eligible for membership provided their Diploma Course meets our minimum criteria of 150 tutoring hours and completed 40 case studies.

4. Applicants who hold other Diploma in Reflexology than mentioned above, but who have been in professional practice for a minimum of three years may be admitted on the basis that their Diploma Course meets our miminum criteria (150 tutoring hours and completed 40 case studies) and proof that they have been in continuous practice for a minimum of 3 years (e.g. professional insurance certs.)

5. Applicants who hold Diplomas in Reflexology, but have no professional practice experience may be admitted after completing a Refresher Course with one of the NRRI Accredited Schools.

6. Applicants who hold Diplomas in Reflexology completed by an On-Line training are not eligible.

7. Discretionary admissions and refusals do not imply accreditation, approval or disapproval of any school or examining body, and do not constitute any precedent.

8. Full membership is available to registered members who are engaged in professional practice, who have provided evidence of current professional insurance, and who engage in the NRRI programme of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) >>here>>.

9. Full Membership confers accreditation by private health insurance providers (VHI, Irish Life, GLO and LAYA) and a free listing on the NRRI website for referrals.

10. Associate membership is available to registered members who do not wish to engage in full time professional practice but who like to keep in touch and have an interest in the development of reflexology. Personal insurance and the NRRI programme of continuous professional development are optional.

11. Student membership is reserved to all students studying the Diploma in Reflexology with NRRI Accredited School.

An associate member receives the quarterly journal.

CPD credits are not required and insurance is discretionary.

CANCELLATION / TERMINATION POLICY

This ‘Membership Cancellation and Termination Policy’ is to guarantee that NRRI Membership Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct is respected and to assure that decision made by the Registrar is fair and without prejudice.

CANCELLATION OF MEMBERSHIP:

1. Membership can be cancelled by request (verbal or written) from a member without a reason at any time.
2. When membership is cancelled by a member remaining fee will not be refunded.
3. After cancellation, member can re-instate its membership at any time, at discretion of the NRRI Registrar.

TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP:

1. Membership can be terminated at the discretion of Registrar, however fair judgement, common sense and no prejudice must be kept at all times.
2. Membership will be terminated by the Registrar if a member has breached the ‘NRRI Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct’.
3. Membership can be terminated by the Registrar if a formal complaint has been filed against the member (subject to a Complaint Committee’s decision).
4. Membership can be terminated by the Registrar if a member has failed to accept the autonomy of the NRRI Registry.
5. Membership can be terminated by the Registrar if a member has acted on disadvantage of NRRI Registry and/or its members.
6. Membership that was terminated will get a refund of remaining months.
7. Membership that was terminated can be re-instated after 12 months at the discretion of NRRI Registrar.

Any proposed addition, deletion, or amendment to this Complaint Policy will be considered by the N.R.R.I. Advisory Council whose final decision will be notified to members.
